Craving a refreshing beverage that perfectly balances fruity flavors with creamy coconut milk? Look no further than our homemade Starbucks Pink Drink recipe! This vibrant and delicious concoction combines the tropical essence of hibiscus tea with strawberries and the lusciousness of coconut milk, making it the ultimate summer sipper.
This elevated version of Starbucks' pink drink does not have added sugar. Nope! It's perfectly sweetened with grapes and dates. Whether you're a Starbucks regular or just love a good frosty treat, this elevated copycat version is tasty and nutritious, with 30% fewer calories than the regular Starbucks version.
What you need to make this copycat Starbucks pink drink recipe:
- Tazo Passion Herbal Tea bag (okay to substitute a berry hibiscus or acai berry herbal tea)
- Homemade Date Syrup
- Green grapes, frozen
- Strawberries, frozen
- Unsweetened coconut milk
Optional toppings: unsweetened coconut flakes, fresh sliced strawberries
The frozen green grapes and Homemade Date Syrup beautifully sweeten this drink. The TAZO Passion Tea and strawberries give it a fruity flavor and pink color. We added unsweetened coconut milk to give the drink a hint of creaminess. The nice thing about making your own Starbucks Pink Drink is that you don't have to skimp on the strawberries or rely on freeze-dried strawberries. You can add all the fresh or frozen strawberries you want!
How to prepare
Start by steeping the passion herbal tea in boiling hot water for 5 minutes. Then, put it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to cool.
After the tea has cooled to at least room temperature, put all ingredients into a high-speed blender (we used a Nutribullet blender) and blend until smooth and creamy.
Add any optional toppings, and enjoy!
Why you'll love this copycat version
- More volume with fewer calories: This copycat Starbucks Pink Drink recipe has more volume (over 20 ounces) with fewer calories. I don't know about you, but when I had Starbuck's Pink Drink it seemed like after two sips, it was gone! Not this drink. You'll be pleasantly satisfied.
- High in Vitamin C: Because this recipe uses whole plant foods, it is a rich source of vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant, helps your body absorb iron, is good for joint and skin health, and boosts your immune system.
- Enjoy as a healthy mocktail: Instead of reaching for that glass of wine after a long, stressful day at work, you can easily prep this ahead of time. Simply batch-steep the tea and leave it in the refrigerator. As long as you keep the homemade date syrup, coconut milk, frozen grapes, and strawberries on hand, it takes less than 5 minutes to whip up.
While a nice treat on its own, this drink also pairs well with Yummy Raw Walnut Taco Salad, Veggie Pizza for One, and Curry Quinoa Chickpea Salad.

I made this today. It is delicious! At first, I wasn't sure if it had the flavor punch I like and I still think I may add a bit more strawberry next time...and there WILL be a next time. I may even try adding different frozen fruits (e.g. pineapple, peach) I also used macadamia milk instead of coconut milk since it's what was in the frig...it's very creamy!! What fun!!

Thanks, Janne. We're so glad you liked it. I love the idea of trying it with different fruits. Having the base of the passion herbal tea along with a creamy plant-based milk and sweetened with dates, the options are almost endless.
