This Luxurious Golden Milk Latte is a special treat—comforting, and healing. I call it a treat because it's rich and creamy. When I drink this beautiful latte, I do it slowly so that I savor and enjoy.
This Golden Milk Latte is luxurious because it's rich and creamy, especially when made with either unsweetened Soymilk or homemade unsweetened Almond Milk. It's healing due to curcumin in turmeric, which has been shown to reduce inflammation enhanced by the addition of black pepper. Curcumin has also been associated with improved brain health.
So which milk should you use? Indeed, if you have a nut allergy go with the soymilk. Or, if you have a soy allergy, go with the almond milk. But if allergens are not a concern, go with whatever you have on hand or are curious to try. Both kinds of milk are delicious in this latte. Nutritionally, almond milk is naturally higher in Vitamin E, whereas soymilk will be higher in protein.

- unsweetened Almond Milk or unsweetened Soymilk
- cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon)
- date
- fresh or ground turmeric
- fresh ginger
- black pepper

Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk or soymilk
1 cinnamon stick or pinch of ground cinnamon
1 date, pitted and roughly chopped
2-inch piece of fresh turmeric (or ¼ tsp turmeric, ground)
2-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
Pinch of black pepper, sliced
Ground cinnamon for dusting
Instructions
Place all ingredients into a small saucepan. Warm over low heat and stir often. Strain milk into a cup and serve. Dust with ground cinnamon.
