Recipe FAQs

How do I store leftovers?

This salad is best served fresh. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a day. Keep in mind that the avocado may begin to brown after a day.

What to eat with tomatoes and avocados?

Absolutely! Feel free to get creative with this recipe. You could add cucumber for a refreshing crunch, or even bell peppers for a little extra sweetness. Just make sure to keep the flavors balanced to maintain the freshness of the dish. You may also like our Vegan Cucumber Tomato and Feta Salad with a similar vibe.

What protein can I add to make it a meal?

Some great options include Roasted Chickpeas, Air Fryer Tofu Nuggets, Air Fryer Tempeh, Homemade Vegan Feta, or even a sprinkle of hemp seeds or pumpkin seeds for added crunch and nutrition.

Can I use a different vinegar instead of balsamic?

Yes! If balsamic vinegar isn’t your favorite, you can substitute it with red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Each will provide a slightly different flavor, but they’ll still complement the tomatoes and avocados beautifully.

This avocado and tomato salad is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a light, nutritious, and satisfying dish.
