Whoa! This chocolate tahini sauce is amazing and super simple to make. With only four ingredients, this vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free sauce is ready in 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp carob or cacao powder
  • ⅓ cup tahini
  • ½ cup Simple Homemade Date Syrup or use half the amount of pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup unsweetened soymilk or almond milk
  • pinch of salt optional

Instructions

  • Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until smooth and creamy. If using pure maple syrup instead of Simple Homemade Date Syrup, use half the amount and taste it. Add more if necessary. The maple syrup is sweeter than the homemade date syrup.
  • Sauce stores well in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. It will thicken in the refrigerator. Be sure to give it a good stir before using it.

Notes

  1. Daniel Fast: Use carob powder and Simple Homemade Date Syrup if you're following the Daniel Fast.
  2. Serving Suggestions: Use this delicious chocolate tahini sauce on top of banana nice cream, sweet potato toast, or as the base for the cherry oat pizza.
