What you need to make this chocolate tahini sauce
- Carob* or Cacao powder
- Tahini
- Simple Homemade Date Syrup* (or maple syrup)
- Unsweetened plant-based milk (I used soymilk, but almond or coconut milk will work too)
- Salt (optional)
*Use carob powder and Simple Homemade Date Syrup if you're following the Daniel Fast.
How to make this chocolatey sweet tahini sauce
Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until smooth and creamy.
Sauce stores well in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Be sure to give it a good stir before using it.
Use this delicious chocolate tahini sauce on top of banana nice cream, sweet potato toast, or as the base for the cherry oat pizza.

- 3 Tbsp carob or cacao powder
- โ cup tahini
- ยฝ cup Simple Homemade Date Syrup (or use half the amount of pure maple syrup)
- ยผ cup unsweetened soymilk (or almond milk)
- pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until smooth and creamy. If using pure maple syrup instead of Simple Homemade Date Syrup, use half the amount and taste it. Add more if necessary. The maple syrup is sweeter than the homemade date syrup.
Sauce stores well in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. It will thicken in the refrigerator. Be sure to give it a good stir before using it.ย
