  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Start by peeling and chopping the pineapple into manageable chunks. Cut the purple cabbage into smaller pieces, making it easier for the juicer or blender.
  2. Juicing:
    • Using a Juicer: Feed the pineapple chunks and purple cabbage through the juicer, alternating between the two for a well-mixed juice.
    • Using a Blender: Combine the pineapple and cabbage in the blender with a splash of water. Blend until smooth. Then, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher to separate the juice from the pulp.
  3. For a Spicy Kick (Optional): Add 1 inch of ginger to the juicing combo.
  4. Add Citrus (Optional): For a refreshing twist, add a lime or lemon to the juicer to enhance the flavors.
  5. Serve: Pour the juice into glasses and serve immediately for the freshest taste. You can also chill it in the refrigerator for a short time before serving or add ice.

Health Benefits of this Purple Cabbage Juice with Fresh Pineapple

This juice is not only vibrant and delicious, but it also boasts numerous health benefits. Pineapple is rich in vitamin C, bromelain (an enzyme that aids digestion and lowers inflammation), and antioxidants.

Purple cabbage is loaded with vitamins K and C, fiber, and powerful antioxidants that can help combat inflammation.

Together, they create a powerhouse drink perfect for boosting your immune system and supporting overall health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use green cabbage instead of purple?

Yes, you can substitute green cabbage if you prefer. However, the flavor and color will differ slightly, and you might miss out on some of the antioxidants (i.e., anthocyanins) that purple cabbage offers.

Is it necessary to sweeten the juice?

No, the pineapple naturally adds sweetness. But if you prefer a less sweet juice, you can substitute half of the pineapple for celery or cucumber.

Can I store the juice for later?

Fresh juice is best consumed immediately for maximum nutrients. If you must store it, keep it in an airtight container in the fridge and consume it within 24 hours.

What can I do with the leftover pulp?

Don’t throw away the pulp! It can be added to smoothies, used in baking, or even mixed into salads for added texture and fiber.

Can I add other ingredients?

Absolutely! Feel free to experiment with additional fruits like apples or vegetables for added flavor.

This purple cabbage and pineapple juice is a delicious way to enhance your health while enjoying a refreshing drink. Whether you’re looking for a vibrant breakfast beverage, a post-workout refresher, or doing a Daniel Fast detox cleanse, this energizing, nutrient-dense juice is an energy booster. Try it out and let us know how you enjoy it. Cheers to your health!

I'm a new fan of juicing purple cabbage after this recipe. The pineapple and ginger are a nice complement.
