I recently started juicing, and I am loving it. This is the juice that you won’t regret making. Revitalize your day with this zesty celery pear ginger juice! Combining the crispness of celery, the sweetness of pears, and the vibrant flavors of ginger and lemon (peels included), this juice is packed with nutrients and flavor. It's a refreshing drink, perfect for any time! So, if you need a pick-me-up or you're starting a juice detox cleanse, this is for you.

What you'll need to make this juice

  1. Pear
  2. Celery
  3. Ginger
  4. Lemon
Ingredients for the celery pear ginger juice with lemon.

As far as equipment goes, you'll also need a juicer, cutting board, knife, and a container for the juice. We like both the Nama J2 cold press juicer and Breville juicer.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Wash the pears thoroughly. There’s no need to peel them; the skin adds extra nutrients and flavor.
    • Wash the lemons well to remove any wax or residues, as you’ll be using the peel.
    • Rinse the ginger root. There's no need to peel it.
    • Wash the celery stalks and cut them into smaller sections for easier juicing.
  2. Juicing:
    • Feed all the prepared ingredients—celery, pears, ginger, and lemons—into your juicer. The combination of flavors will create a deliciously refreshing juice.
    • Alternate between the harder celery and softer fruits to help the juicer process everything smoothly.
  3. Serve:
    • Once juiced, pour the mixture into glasses. You can serve it over ice for an extra chill.
    • Optionally, garnish with a celery stalk or a thin slice of pear for an appealing presentation.
  4. Enjoy!
    • Sip your vibrant celery pear juice and relish the delightful combination of flavors!

If you have leftovers, be sure to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Be sure to consume the juice within 24 hours for optimal freshness.

Celery is high in fiber and contains a particular type called pectin, which may aid digestion and prevent constipation. Its high water content (about 95%) also helps keep the digestive tract hydrated and functioning smoothly.

Heart-friendly nutrients found in celery, including potassium and folate, can help regulate blood pressure and improve circulation. Additionally, celery contains phthalides, which may help relax artery walls, further supporting healthy blood flow and cardiovascular function.

Pear

Pears are an excellent source of dietary fiber, especially soluble fiber, which promotes healthy digestion and supports gut health by feeding beneficial bacteria. Fiber can aid in managing cholesterol levels, which is good for heart health.

Pears contain powerful antioxidants, including vitamin C, copper, and various phytonutrients, which help combat inflammation and reduce oxidative stress in the body. These antioxidants support immune health and may lower the risk of chronic diseases.

Ginger

Ginger contains compounds like gingerol, which have strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It's also well-known for its ability to ease digestive issues, including nausea, bloating, and indigestion.

Lemon

Lemons are rich in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that supports the immune system and stimulates collagen production. Consuming lemon juice also encourages healthy digestion by stimulating the production of digestive enzymes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use different types of pears?

Yes! Any variety of pear, such as Bartlett, Bosc, or Anjou, will work beautifully in this juice. Choose whichever type you enjoy or have on hand.

Do I need to peel the pears and lemons?

No, you don’t need to peel the pears, as the skin adds extra nutrients. For lemons, washing them thoroughly is sufficient if you’re using the peel.

Is it necessary to peel the ginger?

While peeling ginger is common, you can leave the skin on if it’s well-washed. The peel contains additional nutrients.

Can I add other ingredients to the juice?

Absolutely! Feel free to experiment by adding ingredients like apples, cucumbers, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrients. Just keep in mind that the balance of flavors may change.

How long does the juice last in the fridge?

For the best flavor and nutritional value, it’s best to drink the juice immediately. If you need to store it, keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Be sure to shake or stir it before drinking, as separation may occur.

Is this juice suitable for a detox or cleanse?

Yes! This celery pear juice can be a refreshing part of a detox plan due to its hydrating properties and nutrient content. However, it’s always best to consult a healthcare professional before starting any detox regimen.

Can I freeze the juice?

While fresh juice is best enjoyed immediately, you can freeze it in ice cube trays or airtight containers for later use. Just be aware that the texture may change upon thawing.

We hope you love this cleansing detox juice recipe. For more nutrient-dense juices, be sure to check out our purple cabbage pineapple juice, which is high in vitamin C and phytonutrients like anthocyanin. The carrot ginger juice is a classic high in beta carotene, which is good for eye health. Golden beet juice is a favorite for taste and nutritional value—high in vitamins A and C, as well as potassium.
