Grab and Go Chocolate Hummus Breakfast Wrap

This Grab and Go Chocolate Hummus Breakfast Wrap was inspired by some leftover Best Chocolate Hummus we had for dessert from a previous night.

As a child, and truth be told 😃 even as an adult, I've always enjoyed eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich. As I look back, that sandwich wasn't the healthiest because the peanut butter was packed with added oil and sugar, and I usually had it on some type of refined white bread. The highly processed sweetener I’d drizzle on top wasn’t helping matters.

This is why the Grab and Go Chocolate Hummus Breakfast Wrap is the bomb! It's just as delicious as those peanut butter sandwiches I used to eat, if not better (chocolate-flavored anything makes everything better, lol 🤣), but it's packed with fiber and protein without the added sugar and oils.

Grab and Go Chocolate Hummus has 4 key ingredients:

  1. Sprouted grain tortilla
  2. Best Chocolate Hummus
  3. Banana
  4. Strawberries (or raspberries)

It helps to warm the sprouted grain tortilla before assembling. Take two full paper towel sheets, wet and squeeze out as much water as you can and spread out. You can also use a damp tea cloth. Place the tortilla between the two sheets and microwave for 15 seconds.

Remove from microwave, and place warmed tortilla onto a plate or cutting board. Spread about ⅓ cup of the chocolate hummus evenly across the warmed tortilla. Add sliced bananas and strawberries to one side—I like to alternate banana and strawberries to get a little of both in each bite. Fold the tortilla in half like a big soft taco, and dig in!

The sliced strawberries will stimulate your taste buds and boost your antioxidant intake. And the potassium-rich banana and dates will help regulate your blood pressure. While the protein from the chickpeas and sprouted grain tortilla will keep you satisfied through the morning.

Wrap this Grab and Go Chocolate Hummus Breakfast Wrap in foil or reusable wax wrap, stick it in your purse to enjoy when you get to work, school or church.

This is a winner not only for adults, but your kids will love this wrap. In addition to breakfast, this makes a great post-workout snack.  When you eat this wrap, you will love it!  You'll also have peace of mind knowing that the ingredients are all whole plant foods, without the junk.
