This Creamy Ginger Dressing is nutty and sweet and goes beautifully on the Spectacular Sushi Salad or even as a peanut-free sauce for Asian Noodle Salad. It's oil-free and gluten-free and can easily be made nut-free or soy-free.
The tahini gives this dressing a nice creamy texture with a nutty flavor. Since tahini is made from ground sesame seeds, it's an excellent option for someone with a tree nut allergy. The ginger and garlic give this sauce a nice bite. The coconut aminos provide a salty umami flavor, and the Simple Homemade Date Syrup balance out the flavors with a touch of sweetness.
You can adjust the consistency of this dressing by adding more or less water. I find that a thinner consistency works best on salads to coat all the veggies. However, using less water for a thicker sauce works well on a rice and bean bowl.
