This irresistible peanut sauce is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Ideal for drizzling or dipping, this yummy sauce works beautifully with spring rolls, noodles, stir fry, or salads. It's gluten-free, oil-free, soy-free, and takes only 10 minutes to make.

I love this peanut sauce because it can be used for numerous dishes requiring different consistencies. By adjusting the amount of water, this sauce can be thick—great for dipping spring rolls, salad rolls, or tofu satay; moderately thick—great for pouring over noodles or stir fry; or thinner—great for salads.

With only 8 key ingredients, this sauce has amazing flavor and is easy to prepare with the help of a mini blender.

  3. Rice vinegar
  4. Homemade Date Syrup
  5. Crushed red pepper flakes

Equipment

  • 1 mini bullet blender

Ingredients  

  • ⅓ cup peanut butter no added oil or sugar
  • 2 Tbsp coconut aminos or 1 Tbsp regular aminos
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic chopped (I used two)
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger root peeled and minced
  • 2 Tbsp Simple Homemade Date Syrup
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper for heat
  • ½ lime juiced
  • ¼ to ½ cup water (see Note 1 below)

Instructions

  • Put all ingredients into a small bullet blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  1. Amount of Water: Use ¼ cup of water for dips, ⅓ cup for noodles and stir fry, ½ cup for salad dressing.
  2. What to Put This Sauce On: This sauce goes great on our tofu lettuce wraps, chickpea tempeh bowl, Asian salad in a jar (a meal prep favorite), and our nourish bowl. 
  3. Leftovers/Meal Prep: Whether you have leftovers or are meal prepping this sauce, this dressing keeps well in an airtight container, like a mason jar, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

    We substituted apple cider vinegar and it tastes fantastic.
