carrot
medium or about 100 grams, 3.5 ounces, roughly chopped

orange
preferably, navel, peeled

sunflower seeds

piece of fresh ginger root

pitted and soaked in hot water for 5 minutes (or 2 Tbsp

Instructions
Soak a pitted date in hot water for 5 minutes to soften.
Peel the orange and ginger root. If your carrot has rough spots, go ahead and peel that, too.
Rough chop carrot and ginger to help it break down more quickly in the blender.
Put all ingredients, plus ice, into a blender and blend at high speed for about 30 seconds.
