Add pear, kiwi, cucumber, kale, homemade date syrup, coconut water, and ice to a high-speed blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Pour this pear and kale smoothie into two glasses. If using, top with an optional pinch of unsweetened shredded coconut. Enjoy!
Notes
We used a D'Anjou pear in this recipe, but you can use whatever pear you'd like.
No kiwi? Use fresh or frozen pineapple chunks instead.
Okay to substitute celery for cucumber.
If you don't have homemade date syrup on hand, place 1 to 2 pitted dates into a small bowl of hot water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soften. This makes it easier to blend.
Leftovers keep well in an airtight container, like a mason jar with a lid, in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
