Made with only 7 key ingredients, it's the perfect post-workout smoothie or when you need that nutrient infusion to get through a tough day. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 banana (ripe-ish)
  • 17oz unsweetened plain coconut water*
  • 1 cup kale (redbor, lacinato, red Russian, or curly), tightly packed
  • 2 Tbsp hemp hearts
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon (or lime)

Optional

  • Ice

Instructions

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. If drinking this smoothie later, be sure to shake or stir before consuming because contents will separate.

This recipe makes 1 to 2 servings.

*Note: Most brands of plain, unsweetened coconut water have a container size that's around 17 fluid ounces. Just use one of those. Or if you have a larger container that's around 34 fluid ounces, measure about 17 ounces for this recipe.
