Best Chocolate Hummus

Ingredients

1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup cacao, cocoa or carob powder

6 dates, pitted

1/2 cup of unsweetened almond (or soy) milk

Toppings:

2 tsp chia seeds

2 cups fresh strawberries (or raspberries)


Instructions

Soak pitted dates in hot water for 5 minutes to soften. 

Add drained and rinsed chickpeas, cacao (cocoa or carob) powder, pitted dates, unsweetened almond milk (or soy milk) to a food processor or high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. If consistency is too thick, add more milk to it thin out.  

Place in individual jars or bowls, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. Before serving, top with chia seeds and fresh berries. Enjoy!
