Description
These savory air fryer banana chips are made with unripe green bananas. Pair this fast and easy one-ingredient snack with hummus or a big bowl of veggie chili. This chip is oil-free, soy-free, nut-free, gluten-free, vegan, and low-fat.
Ingredients
- 2 green (unripe) bananas
Instructions
Slice off the stem of the banana. Carefully peel about halfway, giving you a better grip on the banana. Use the slicer side of a box grater to cut into chips. When you reach the halfway point, continue to peel back the banana, leaving a small amount to maintain a grip as you continue to slice.
Spread chips into the basket of the air fryer. Set for 380 F (195 C) and cook for 8 minutes. Check for doneness and continue cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes or until toasty golden and crispy.
Enjoy these banana chips immediately, or store them in an air-tight container for up to a week. They will lose their crispness as they sit. However, you can throw them back into the air fryer for 2 to 3 to re-crisp. These are also freezer-friendly if you're batching these for meal prep.
