⅛ to ¼teaspoonblack pepperdivided
Instructions
Wash and prep all your produce. Peel citrus fruits, if preferred. Chop into chunks so they will fit into the juicer.
Juice carrots, oranges, lemons, and turmeric using your juicer.
Stir well, divide into three 12 oz glasses (350 ml), or store in airtight jars.
Just before drinking, add a light sprinkle of ground black pepper to each serving and stir.
Notes
Equipment: You'll need a juicer. We like Breville and Nama juicers.
Chilled Juice: For immediately chilled juice, add ice to the catch pitcher.
Black Pepper: Don't skip adding the black pepper. Black pepper helps activate curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, enhancing its anti-inflammatory benefits.
Add-On: Feel free to add ginger root for an extra spicy kick.
Leftovers: This juice is best fresh. But if you have leftover juice, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
