Description

Loaded with beneficial nitrates, this beet carrot apple juice is heart-healthy. The two surprise ingredients are ginger and rhubarb, giving it that tart and spicy kick.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium beetroots
  • 6 medium carrots
  • 2 rhubarb stalks
  • 3 inch piece of ginger (or more for an extra spicy kick)
  • 1 apple
  • Ice

Instructions

You'll need a juicer for this recipe. Be sure to read the instruction manual on how to operate your juicer.

Turn on the juicer.

Carefully place cleaned and partially chopped or trimmed beetroot, apple, rhubarb, carrots, and ginger root into the feed shoot of the juicer. Use the plunger to safely press the vegetable or fruit down so the juice flows into the pitcher.

Enjoy immediately over ice. Leftovers can be stored in an air-tight container (e.g., a mason jar) in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
