Description

Whoa! This chocolate tahini sauce is amazing and super simple to make. With only four ingredients, this vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free sauce is ready in 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 Tbsp carob or cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup Simple Homemade Date Syrup (or use half the amount of pure maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened soymilk (or almond milk)
  • pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until smooth and creamy. If using pure maple syrup instead of Simple Homemade Date Syrup, use half the amount and taste it. Add more if necessary. The maple syrup is sweeter than the homemade date syrup.

Sauce stores well in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. It will thicken in the refrigerator. Be sure to give it a good stir before using it.
