Description

Make a refreshing strawberry matcha latte at home. This delicious drink combines strawberries and earthy matcha flavors. Super easy to make!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3/4 cup sliced strawberries (about 4-5 medium strawberries)
  • 1 cup plain, unsweetened soy milk, divided
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon matcha green tea powder (ceremonial grade recommended)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberry Milk

In a small bullet blender, add the sliced strawberries, 1/2 cup of soy milk, and maple syrup.

Blend until smooth to create a luscious and creamy strawberry puree.

Assemble the Drink

Add ice to your serving glass.

Pour the strawberry milk into the glass.

Prepare the Matcha Layer

Rinse out the blender cup.

Add the remaining 1/2 cup soy milk and the matcha powder.

Blend until smooth and creamy, ensuring the powdered green tea fully dissolves. (Alternatively, use a matcha whisk, bamboo whisk, or milk frother and a small bowl if preferred.)

Layer and Enjoy

Slowly pour the matcha mixture into the strawberry milk to create a beautiful swirled layer effect.

Stir gently if desired and enjoy immediately!

Notes

  1. You'll need a mini bullet blender for this recipe.
  2. Use high quality matcha like ceremonial grade Japanese matcha for a smooth, less bitter flavor.
  3. Be sure to sweeten with pure maple syrup and adjust the amount based on the natural sweetness of your strawberries. Agave can be used as a substitute.
  4. If you're batching this recipe, store any leftover strawberry milk or matcha tea separately in an airtight container (like a mason jar) in the fridge.
  5. If you love experimenting, try making this with a mixture of strawberry and banana or strawberry and mango.
