Description
This tasty Golden Latte is a rich, creamy, and spicy treat. You'll feel wrapped in a warm blanket, sipping this comforting, healing latte. It's also oil-free, gluten-free, and vegan.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup plain unsweetened soy milk (or almond milk)
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger root
- 1 tsp fresh grated fresh turmeric root (or 1/4 tsp dry ground turmeric)
- 1-3 tsp Simple Homemade Date Syrup (for sweetness)
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch of black pepper
Instructions
Grate ginger root and *turmeric root using a microplane grater.
Place all ingredients into a small pot on the stovetop.
Use a whisk to stir and incorporate all the ingredients.
Over medium heat, bring to a simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Carefully pour the heated golden milk latte into your favorite mug through a fine mesh strainer, and enjoy!
*Note: okay to substitute 1/4 dry ground turmeric for 1 tsp of fresh grated turmeric root.
