1 8-oz. package of tempeh (if gluten sensitive, be sure to choose gluten free)
Some tempeh is made with one or more grains like rice or barley. Be sure to read the ingredients label if you have a gluten allergy or intolerance.
Slice tempeh into thin strips or chunks. Coat the tempeh with a cup of The Best Homemade BBQ Sauce. Let sit or marinade for about 10 minutes.
While tempeh is marinating, preheat a grill, grill pan or skillet over medium high heat. Add tempeh and let cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Carefully turn and continue cooking for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and enjoy in a salad, bowl, tacos, on a pizza or baked potato.
Store extra tempeh in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
