Description

This carrot and ginger juice is light and refreshing with a spicy kick. A great way to put a little pep in your step!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 to 10 medium to large carrots
  • 1 to 2 inches of fresh ginger root (use more for a spicy kick)
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

Prepare the Carrots: Wash the carrots thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities. If you see any "rough" spots, feel free to peel them. Otherwise, leave the skin on for optimal nutritional value. Cut the carrots into chunks.

Prepare the Ginger: Wash and trim any rough spots on the ginger root. The amount of ginger you use can be adjusted based on your taste preference—use more for a spicier kick!

Two Options for the Lemon: To juice the whole lemon, wash and cut it into chunks since the lemon pith and peel contain beneficial nutrients. Alternatively, you can remove the peel and juice the flesh only.

Juicing: If you like chilled juice, add ice to the pitcher. When the juice comes out, the ice chills it. Place the pitcher in the appropriate spot according to the type of juicer you're using. Add the carrots, ginger, and lemon to your juicer and turn it on.

Mix and Serve: After the juicer has completed juicing, give it a good stir to combine all the ingredients and flavors. Pour the fresh pressed juice into a glass and enjoy immediately for the best taste and nutrient retention.

Leftovers: If you don't drink your juice immediately, transfer it to a sealed container or mason jar and store it in the refrigerator. Since it's not pasteurized, you'll want to consume the juice within 24 hours.
